Thanks so much for your interview with Lisa Lee. After reading your review, I bought a copy of Skin Deep.

Her approach from "how to's" to revealing her own mistakes inspired me to continue my search. Her tips were invaluable.

Your interview highlighted the invaluable insight of the challenges faced by African-American authors. The biggest one is racial attitudes on both sides of the color line. I enjoyed reading your questions and Lisa's response to the issues of "White" and "Black."

Recent articles by journalists from major newspapers focus on the "horror stories" about African Americans' genealogy research. It's an annoying trend. Lisa's book presents the reader with a well balanced history of how she found her ancestors.
