Thanks for the great article! The article stated that the Americo-Liberians were disapointed at the fact that no more imigrants came to Liberia after 1862. However ther was one more endeavor on the part of the Joint Stock Steamship Company of Charleston SC. The bark AZOR made the trip to Monrovia in May 1878 with about 200 African Americans from SC and Georgia. The trip was somewhat of a disaster and some of the imigrants eventually returned back to the US.
