I'm Nigerian, and I think you mean the Nago/Anago tribe which is a Yoruba subset in present day Benin(republic of Benin) which a country to the left of Nigeria. It is not to be confused with Benin which is a city in Nigeria, 2 different places. The Nago/Anago/Yoruba are found in present day Benin, Nigeria and Togo.
Not sure if this helps, Bode is a Yoruba name, at least I've heard it in Nigeria and it is Yoruba.
