I have been trying to find my ancestors from Sumter, Manning, Claredon County with no luck not one cousin.
I could not find not one of them in the census or slave records. But I did find something interesting. My grand
father was Warren Burgess his parents were John Wesley Burgess and Placide Elizabeth Pringle. while searching
the voter regestration for Claredon County 1868-1869 I found the name William Placide. Almost all of my
aunts and uncles were named after grandparents aunts and uncles. Robersons and Packs may have been malatos. Placide
Native American.
