I am seeking info on J.W. Murray. He is in the 1880 U.S. census in Crocket,Tx., Houston county. He was a black teacher that was born in Tenn. about 1849. His father was from Ky. & his mother was from Va. He was involved in a relationship with Ellen Rogers, from which my grandfather, Oliver Murray, was born.
