John, I've come across all those Taliaferro's in the Water Valley, MS area (and a grandaunt of mines married one, btw). I don't know if you're from that area or not, but are you aware that there's an old photo of a Taliaferro man in a book about Yalobusha County? I think it may be titled "Yalobusha County History". I forget his first name, but the text said he was one of the most successful planters in the area, or something to that nature. I'd date the photo between 1940-1975.
