I was surprised when I turned on my computer this afternoon and the first post was not only from you but it was for me. This is great. Yes, it is true that I am researching Brodies. My paternal great-great grandmother was Mariah Brodie. She married Edmond Kelly in Louisburg, NC. I place her as being born around 1827 in Louisburg NC (Franklin Cty) but this is all that I know about her. I must admit that the research on my dad's side was put on the back burner while I worked on my mom's side because of our recently held 30th reunion. In the meantime, I will see what other info I can gather about Mariah Brodie and let you know what I find.

PS, Mariah was still alive in 1920, according to the NC Census.
