My greatgrandmother's name was Mariah. Found that out when I got her marriage record. I was raised - as was my mom, knowing her name as Luella. She is listed in all other records as Luella, Luellen and Lou Ellen.

Her daughter - my grandmother was named Ella.

Don't ask me where the Mariah came from.
