Seventies: well, 1 March is the sequestration start and 27 March is when DoD goes up on the chopping block. The past couple of years the dept of the Army has been making cuts.. so we'll see.

alt: I know, but I'm still betting it won't last for long.

Seventies: I don't think so either alt.

alt: what was the life span of your great-grandmother? born?? died??

vkn: Think items in house might be weathered out

Seventies: 1893 to 1998

alt: okay thanks Seventies .. wow, that's 105 yrs. she was born a year before my father.

Seventies: well she was 104... Born dec 93, died Jan 98

alt: I won't argue over 1 year LOL LOL

Seventies: When did your father pass alt? Now her husband was born in 94

alt: my father passed in 1945, when I was 11 y/o Seventies

Seventies: Oh he was young alt.

alt: yep, he sure was Seventies

Seventies: My great-grandfather passed in 1984, the next year his son Benj named after his father passed.

alt: he was a late baby, his father was born in 1852 ... in slavery. so I'm one of those folks with a grandparent who was born during slavery.

vkn: My father was born 1878 and died 1938 when I was 9

Seventies: that's amazing alt.

Daviss: no grands for me born in slavery but all my great grands

Seventies: Form me gr gr grandparents were born in slavery.

vkn: my Benham grands were born 1845 and 1850

alt: oh my vkn, like me, you barely got to know your father.
