jhonora: Is Sudeikis the only guest tonight?
AYWalton: Looks like an old time house. Nothing fancy. Yes, WDYTYA always focuses on 1 guest.
jhonora: A very dated house, I notice the wood paneling
AYWalton: I did too. I wonder if the missing grandfather was in the military by the height and weight descriptions. Hey there, Mizz Selma!
jhonora: Hey Selma!
Selma: Good evening folks..
AYWalton: Jean Bloom. Don't recognize her name.
Selma: Listen to jhonora..talking about a very "dated" house

AYWalton: I mentioned your session in my podcast today! wow----old records, old file. that was not too long ago.
keli1: Thanks for the shout out, my session is tomorrow at 2p and just going to have fun! Mark Lowe's courthouse records has been my favorite session
AYWalton: I am sure it was good.
keli1: Selma, is it good 2155 attendees
Selma: Wow great crowd
AYWalton: about how many African Americans have you seen so far?
keli1: about 10 or 12, which is sad, they have good workshops, etc
vkn: Wow that is a big crowd
AYWalton: and yet, so few. So Jason's grandparents separated early on, but got two children in the process. wow---refuses to work.
keli1: I bet that might not be his baby
AYWalton: it makes one wonder.
vkn: refuses to work is a loaded potato
AYWalton: that is an odd expression.
keli1: the second nite, the library internet crashed, so many users
AYWalton: and the father had to have had a family of his own. ahhhh...................... bigamy!!!!!!
AYWalton: well that explains that!!!
keli1: I met, who I believe is a relative of Art's, on his Randolph's line
Selma: Alt is the "six degrees of separation man" you might meet his relatives everywhere
AYWalton: Keli, are those Randolphs from West Virginia? I wrote a piece on my blog today about a set of documents on ebay pertaining to a black Randolph family. wb, keli1 are you on your eyepad, or cell phone?
vkn: From where were they AYW
AYWalton: West Virginina----this is a from a family Bible being auctioned on Ebay.
keli1: no, they link to Thomas jefferson's line, john randolph freed 380 slaves they went to charlotte va,
AYWalton: ahhh THOSER Randolphs.
keli1: I am on my ipad, lol,
AYWalton: Thoser = those
keli1: today is Art's birthday
AYWalton: oh that's right! honoray! You have a street named after your folks!!!!!!!!!!!
jhonora: How do you like that!
AYWalton: how cool is that!!!
vkn: Strange that he would be reading docs in the street
AYWalton: ahhh alcohol influenced. sad oh wow! oh wow. That is quite sad. hey SoulChile.
Seventies Soulchild: hey all
keli1: hi Soulchile
AYWalton: He was possibly a homeless alcholic.
vkn: Howdy seventies and evpace
AYWalton: evpace hello there!!
keli1: too bad the wife didn't put a hit on his butt
Seventies Soulchild: hi Keli, vkn, jhonora, AYWalton, Selma, evpace
keli1: Hi evpace
AYWalton: with alcohol problems the family was probably tired of him over time. Sad. evpace, good to see you!
jhonora: He should have found a less respectable street to die on lol
Selma: Hi evpace and seventies
AYWalton: lol I hear ya honora!
evpace: Evening all.
AYWalton: or maybe that gave him a spec of dignity, being on that street.
evpace: Honora is an honorable name, yes
Selma: I love the way they always smoothly say..lets go to Ancestry dot com
vkn: lol @ Selma
keli1: they are paying the bills
jhonora: And they always manage to pull something up on the first try
evpace: They make it seem so easy.
AYWalton: Good point. They never use Heritage or Family Search.
Selma: Why would they..this is show is sponsored by Ancestry
vkn: 2 families
keli1: ancestry is a business, they are not in the business of genealogy, family search
AYWalton: From Illinois to Connecticut. Same census year?
jhonora: Maybe he was on the railroads
AYWalton: is ist without question the same man?
Selma: My grandmother and mother always say..you never know what goes on behind closed doors
AYWalton: ahhh a good thought, jhonora! she does have a point, Selma.
keli1: family search is in the business of provding an experience, that is why they are free
Selma: What does that mean keli..providing an experience
keli1: researching to locate your ancestors, to get excited, etc, ancestry doesn't care in that aspect how we love being in the records, no money with familysearch, but ancestry, the more they add, the more they want, they don't care if you get excited about researching, just pay
AYWalton: wait she went to make a call right then? I thought she would have done that ahead of the cameras.
Selma: Jeez AY..give em a break..they are acting "suspenseful"
AYWalton: who is the genealogist? ahhh ok, they just showed his name. Howdy Daviss!
Daviss: hello there!
keli1: he is lying lol
keli1: hi Vicki
Daviss: heyy keli1
keli1: same man
AYWalton: what about age, or dates of birth, or year of birth?
keli1: wild man
AYWalton: another free commercial. I guess they have to say fully Ancestry Dot Com
keli1: money, money, mon ---ney!
AYWalton: lol true
evpace: Remember Georgie from last year.
AYWalton: so Jason has cousins in Connecticut that he may not know of. wonder how the son, Stanley ended up alcoholic and homeless?
AYWalton: returning to his hotel with the camera crew.
keli1: in the lobbby
AYWalton: ahhh he is working it quite well. interesting!
keli1: yes, I like it when they keep asking questions, it makes it a bit more real as it relates to steps to research, except we can't just fly here and there
AYWalton: he must have tons of cousins he has never met. with all of those children in the home. evpace, I was in DC today. Ended up at the Civil War museum and had a wonderful chat with Hari Jones
evpace: Great. Did Hari present in the auditorium AYWalton?
AYWalton: Yes, but I ran into him about a hour and a half before. I was taking photos and just went into the museum by chance. We talked over and hour. An amazing conversation.
evpace: Hari retired from the Marines.
keli1: I love Hari's presentations, they are so alive
AYWalton: he is wonderful! And guess what---he is from Oklahoma!
evpace: Yes he is.
AYWalton: ahhh he died in the mine!
keli1: I think my ggrandfather was a coal miner and died, somewhere around a coal mine, lol
Daviss: Where in OK AYWalton is Hari from?
Selma: Jeez its a wonder they didn't all blow up..
AYWalton: Paul's Valley. Down in Chickasaw country.
Daviss: ok AYWalton thx
AYWalton: this is one of the first shows about an immigrant to American where they did not take the guest to the old country.
jhonora: I'm still not 100% convinced about the Stanley, Sr. being a bigamist
AYWalton: they only went back to 1900, and closed it out. quite interesting. I hear ya, jhonora. I wonder if some Sudekis descendants from those families will suddenly surface now that this had aired.
Daviss: Is it over?
Selma: Just about
keli1: 3 minutes Vicki
Daviss: Was it as enjoyable as the others
AYWalton: Kind of. I am glad they did end up going back 15 generations. They stopped with 1900.
vkn: different daviss
Daviss: hmmm wonder if that meant they could not go back further
AYWalton: sorry I meant to say did NOT go back 10-15 generations.
keli1: yea a little mystery added to this one, not all bells and whistles
AYWalton: Paula Dean is next week. interesting.
Daviss: Now that I want to see for sure
AYWalton: Darn I will be in Arkansas. I hope that we will be watching it there.
keli1: oh darn, she is sooo dramatic
AYWalton: I will be hanging out with Tam and Carla.
AYWalton: oops gotta turn off the TV.
Selma: Well then y
AYWalton: Too much weird stuff on.
Selma: you can forget it if you are haning with Tam
AYWalton: lol, yes I know.
