Re: Creek Freedman
In Response To: Re: Creek Freedman ()
Okay, thanks. But I first found out that my great grandmother was creek-freedman. After digging a little bit more, I then found out that her father(my great great grandfather) was 1/4 creek. How is this possible? If her father was 1/4 creek, why would she be placed on the Creek-Freedman roll instead of creek? I'm almost sure that this guy is her father. He is listed as a black male same bithday, name, city, as her father, but my great grand mother being listed as a creek-freedman instead of creek is throwing me off. Maybe i'm barking up the wrong tree with him all around? Or maybe I just don't understand enough of how the creek-Freedmans came about, and this could be the case. Please explain, so I can have a better understanding before calling the tribe. Thanks Alot!
