Hi Charles! I don't talk much on the phones, but really should you know. Yep I read your email and Good God Amighty that was some astounding Game Changer News (if Genealogical Facts, concerning the Renties, turns out to be true)! But I believe you may have gotten confused on the Chameleon Changing Name our Rentie Ancestors used from the Indian Dunn Roll Cards all the way up to the final Dawes Records. You have definitely opened up a fresh can of beans here (with the Rentie/Mcintosh Connection) because -
The Old Town of Rentiesville was founded on Rentie and Mcintosh Land. And My God, you're saying I'm related to both sides!
I think you have actually discovered the true parents of Warrior Rentie (the one from 1802) as being Mcintosh Rentie and Caroline Rentie! (Remember, I'm looking for a pic of Warrior Rentie (the first "named so" one).
I've got a super long hyperlink here (sure hope it still works) describing a sample book passage of Warrior Rentie (this may be the first Warrior Rentie born in 1802) in Court defending his Sons - https://books.google.com/books?id=BuhCyjixDV4C&pg=PA225&lpg=PA225&dq=Indian+%22Warrior+Rentie%22+Freedman+or+%22by+blood%22&source=bl&ots=bGvjy0LUrA&sig=ACfU3U1_w9k2J6QGYfCgY6qho32K36bBvg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwih7__yi93rAhWMrp4KHZkGBRwQ6AEwAnoECAYQAQ#v=onepage&q=Indian%20%22Warrior%20Rentie%22%20Freedman%20or%20%22by%20blood%22&f=false
By what you're saying about Island Rentie's Daddy not being Pickett Rentie, makes me want to re-examine everything I can find on Fannie Bumpus Rentie She sho' did change her name 4 or 5 times to confuse the heck out of everyone (to this very day). She claims her Daddy was Pickett Rentie (which means he has a Daughter or two)! Here's one article on Fannie -
Fannie's wild tenacious "Land Grabbing" story could very well mean her portion of her land was given over for the establishment of Rentiesville!
Back to Warrior Rentie, which Warrior helped found The Creek Citizens Bank In Muskogee Oklahoma? Was it the original Warrior Rentie born in 1802 or Pickett's Son Warrior Rentie (the 2nd)?
I don't have full access to the Indian DUNN or DAWES Roll Calls yet because I ain't paid any subscription fees. I just love it when "some of these old card/pages" turn up on the Internet for now.
On the Dunn Roll - Pickett Rentie is showing under section 1505. Bill Rentie (who we think is Pickett's Son William Rentie) is under section 1509. That's the man we believe helped co-found Rentiesville and became the Town Sheriff. It should be true, Bill or William Rentie had no kids because he was killed on patrol in Rentiesville.
In a Family Genealogical nutshell, what if Renty Mcintosh Rentie is indeed the first Warrior Rentie born in 1802?
My Great Uncle Joseph Rentie (Son of Benjamin Franklin Rentie) wrote down most of the Rentie Family Legacy we been believing in for so long. Bet he'd turn over in his grave over at Booker T Washington Cemetery in Muskogee if he heard your news that Pickett ain't Island Rentie's Daddy!
