Your pointing out the fact that the ShoeBoots case opened the door is a particulary poignant one, and much appreciated. As legal precedent was set, then others were able to enroll as a result. The story of this landmark case should be more widely read, without question.
Thankfully, Tiya Mile's work is still unfolding as she explores more aspects of the historical relations between all of the people who comprise the Cheorokee Nation.
