Your grGrandfather Tommic/Thomas (aka "Puttin/ Puddin") is the father of Claudette & Norma Jean, right? I am very familiar w/ your Colbert line and have lots of information about them. Your ggGrandfather, Nathan (Colbert) traveled w/ my ggGrandfather, Hickman; his bro. Sylvester (Colbert) and their bro-in-law, Robert Johnson the winter following the Civil War to Ft. Gibson and Ft. Smith. I strongly suspect that these folk were relatives. Also, I've documentation that Nathan should have been enrolled by-blood and not as a Freedmen; as he was 1/4th Choctaw. His father, Lem (abt. 1801) was 1/2 (Af & Native descent), but he too was enrolled as Freedmen.
