Re: Sylvia & Nig DAVIS, Marshall, TX
In Response To: Re: Sylvia & Nig DAVIS, Marshall, TX ()
Vicky, I'm getting scared. Could I be this close. I went back and looked at Henry Collier's household again!
Next door to Henry Collier is a household of ROBERTS! When I see my grgrgrandfather for the first time in 1880 census he is living with Tilman BUOY but, also in this household is an Aunt to Tilman by the name of CAROLINE ROBERTS!
COULD these ROBERTS be her people? i've looked for Caroline before in earlier and later years and never nada did I find. I found Caroline living in Hempsted County in 1870 with her husband Alfred Roberts, she is 40 at that time and 50 in the 1880 Census. She's also a widow in 1880 but, when I see her with her husband in 1870 there are no kids nor does it mention if she ever gave birth to any.
There's a thread here somewhere so close and I want to cry because I can see it but, I can't reach it yet. Could this George Roberts in the 1910 census be the brother of Alfred Roberts? ALso, these BODES, could that be a mistake on the spelling by enumerator and they're actually my BUOY's that disappear totally in Texas after the 1880 Census?
I'm open to all connections, tips, etc. that might help me grasp this thread......
