Re: PUGH, Mary Ann Forsyth GA?
In Response To: Re: PUGH, Mary Ann Forsyth GA? ()

It is located on page 10 of the Georgia 1870 census, for Forsyth County, Georgia, Coal Mountain. She is listed as Ann Brown, her husband is William Brown. There are two children on this census Eva and David. Incidentally, I located a Robert Brown on page 9 who was a slave owner and I am trying to determine if there is a connection between him and Mary Ann and William.

On page 25 of the 1880 census in Forsyth County, Georgia she has Eva, David, Anthony, Tallulah, William, and Julius Brown (William and Julius are the older brothers of my great-grandmother Montine). After the 1880 census I have been unable to locate Eva, David, Anthony, or Tallulah anywhere. In the 1900 census, I found William, Julius, Minor (my great-grandmother's twin), and Montine living with Mary Ann and her second husband Ben Pugh.

I hope this isn't too confusing. Thank you all for your input and assistance. It is quite helpful!
