There is a marriage record for a 'Cora Journet' and Octave Guillory in January, 1900 (St. Martin Parish).

A Corinne Journet m. Albert Chevalier in 1898 (St. Martin parish).

A Joseph Journet married Mary Arminthe Singleton and had the following children.

4. Virginia
5. Albin (Albert?)
6. Joseph Cadet
7. Marie Eve (b. 1894)

Virginie Journey (50) with
Son Joseph (24)
Dau-in-law Mandy (22)
and grand-daughters

Interesting entry:
Pierre Journee m. Eugenie Provot in 1824 (St. Landry)
This Pierre may have been the one listed as 'Leopold Pierre', who married Marie Marcelite Dio in 1839 (St. Landry).
In the 1880 census, there was a 44 yr. old 'Leopold Journey' enumerated next to Mandy. Perhaps a relative of Joseph Journet?

"Pierre, widr of Eugenie Prevost, of St. Domingue ..."
Pierre was the son of Nicolas Journee & Isabelle Bodin, and was born ca 1774.
In 1860, an 86 yr. old Pierre was listed in St. Martin parish with:
Joseph (33)
valsin (31)
Maline (44)
Henriette (11)
Clarisse (8), and
Marie (40)
