I just am so happy that I just had to tell somebody. I have been able to trace back to my 5th great-grandfather, An african slave named Pierre Rideau who came to Opelousas, Louisiana from the Wolof People of Senegal sometime in the 1780's. I dont know his African name, But I'm happy that I could say where in Africa my ancestor came from and what tribe did he come from. I dont think I'll be to go a village like Haley. I'm happy just knowing what I know.
