Found 6/5/1917: World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
Daniel, if you order his military records you can obtain a lot more information. My dad's records referred to a marriage to and divorce from a woman unknown to me, before he met my mother! Nobody can tell me who this woman could have been or if I have any older siblings. I'm going to order my great-uncle's military records because he signed up on the same date, 6/5/1917. He was one of the black soldiers that the US gave France to work with. France was so impressed by their courage, valor and bravery, they all received decorations after WWI. However, the US didn't acknowledge their service in the same way. In fact, the US did nothing to honor them.
