I neglected to give Julia Brown's birth--1894 Johnston SC. I am still trying to trace the other ladies names to 1930 anywhere in South Carolina. Sometimes people worked in Georgia. When I visited SC, we were told the river was used a lot for transportation and going to jobs. I'm really amazed at the number of women that were HOH at this time. Where were the men?
