Odd - I find the family I think you are talking about listed in Ward 7, not 5 and Oliver's birthplace in 1870 as Mississippi, not Alabama.
No first name is listed - just the initial - but it does seem to be the exact same family in 1880 listed under Oliver.
What census records are you looking at? These are the one's on ancestry. I think it has created confusion for the folks who have been attempting to search for you.
