I have recently found my Great Great Grandmother Sallie as a little girl at age 3 in the 1870 Census and again at age 12 in the 1880 Census for Upshur Co., TX!

This is the first time that I've found her and I can now see her brothers and sisters:

1880 Census Pct 2, Upshur Co., TX
Henry Robertson B M 45 b. TN Father TN Mother TN
Lucy Robertson B F 35 b. AL Father AL Mother AL
Mitchel Robertson B M 15 b. TX Father TN Mother AL
SARAH ROBERTSON B F 12 b. TX Father TN Mother AL
William Robertson B M 10 b. TX Father TN Mother AL
Lilly Robertson B F 8 b. TX Father TN Mother AL
David B Robertson B M 7 b. TX Father TN Mother AL
Charley Robertson B M 6 b. TX Father TN Mother AL
Early Robertson B M 2 b. TX Fatber TN Mother AL
Maly? Robertson B M 1 b. TX Father TN Mother AL

BUT, guess what? I've been lucky enough to find a living descendant of EARLY ROBERTSON and she tells me that her Grandmother (unknown to me and now deceased), bless her heart, took the trouble to write the names of all of Lucy & Henry Robertson's children down in the Bibles of four girls in the family. However, her list differs slightly from what I've found in the census:

Mary L.

The names "Olison" and "Mary L." have never seen before by me and no one else alive seems to remember them. I've only seen LUCY ROBERTSON in the 1870 and 1880 Census so I don't know how many children she had all together. My Great Grandmother told me that her mother, Sally ROBERTSON Norris had four or five brothers and sisters. She also said that one of the girls was sold away as a slave when she was little and they never saw her again.

When I first saw the name of "Mary L." my heart jumped because I thought she was the little girl who had been sold away but, the ROBERSON Family Reunion book for 2006 gives a second surname for Mary so she lived long enough in and among the family to marry someone with the surname of WHITE so that can't be her but, why haven't I seen MARY or OLIASON with the family? Ever?

Last night I found both EARLY ROBERTSON and MITCHELL ROBERTSON on-line buried at Cortzness-Shepherd Searcy, Old West City, Cemetary in Mt. Pleasant, TX and also buried there NEARBY is a man named OLEGEAN ROBISON, Died September 24, 1929.

My gut and heart tell me that OLEGEAN ROBISON is my Great Great Grandma Sallie's brother OLIASON ROBERTSON. I think the spelling is just a typeo but, I'm stuck like bubble gum to the floor of a tacky theatre. I've looked in every Census year available by first name, last name with four different spellings and I get NADA, ZILCH.

Desperate for any help someone might provide in helping me find Oliason or OLEGEAN alive somewhere hopefully so that I can see if he's truly mine to claim.

The family lived in Mt. Pleasant, Texas and eventually all of the sibblings moved to Harrison County, Marshall, TX.

Thank You
