I have found as occupations for 2 cousins as railroad employees. When doing a search on specific names on the SSI site, it said place number was given as railroad. Now these employees probably have some type of employee record but I don't know how to go about searching in order to order. I know SSI records cost $29 without the number, but believe that is a last resort. The only time I have done so is when I had no other alternative and was real positive I had the right person. Elbert Pinkney lived in Fulton Co Ga, died 1967. No information has been found as to the name of the railroad he was employed. His nephew Willie Pinckney Jones was also a railroad employee. I'm not sure if he was living in Ga. also. Willie gave death certificate information for Elbert. Willie was last found in 1920 in Johnston SC. He was born in 1914. So far I haven't found a confirmed death record for Willie/William but on the death record his occupation was listed as working for the railroad. Can anyone guide me to the next step of research for information.
I am also noticing that all states do not give a diagnosis. Georgia does not give a diagnosis. It sure would be helpful for future information. Is this the future norm?
