Is it common to find a name transposed on a census for instance. Pierre Raphael listed as Raphael Pierre? because i think i found a relative but the name is backwards? and how can you be sure this person is who you think they are?i found my GGGgrandmother and father in the 1910 census as Leonard and Clementine Hymel with a granddaughter of Eveline Pierre age 11 however, in 1900 have a Leonard Harbert and Clementine Harbert with a Eveline Pierre grandaughter age 1. I have Pierre's 1898 marriage license and its signed by Leonard Hymel and someone with the surname Allen there are several Allens in the Harbert household in 1900.

how do i determine if these are all the same people?
