I NEVER MADE IT, IN THE HOME WERE HE WAS IS ONLY A COUPLE BLOCKS FROM ME.

You know a few days ago i was reading slave nartives: and this one is that
i read made me believe that she was with malinda at the time, i just got
an email from this lady yesterday describing people ive been searching
it was weird and the nartive was from a brown.

i've went around to the back door (so to speak) to the slave master and work my back up to 1870/ trying to find wills, that mite list them.

I do not know if this is the Nelson you seek but: In the Estate papers of Peter H. Marsalis there is "a Negro man named Nelson".
I noticed that on the 1870 census his wife is listed as "Luvenia". In the same papers there is a woman named "Lavenia" and a girl child named "Fanny". I have no idea at this time if this was the previously mentioned Luvenia of 1870.

In 1870 the census says Nelson was born in Kentucky. In the papers there was also an Ephraim, born about 1808 in Kentucky. I have pretty well found his family (I think).

If I find any more about Nelson I will post---"Marsalis" was so misspelled back then by census takers that it can take some digging.
