Re: [Personalities] PRAISES FOR ROSA PARKS

: Not to play the devil's advocate but How many African Americans did
: not secretly or in their intimate circle of friends say or think
: the same thing about the persons mentioned in the movie? I don't
: think it diminished their role in history any. It just said what
: others have been thinking? (In my humble opinion).

Hi Tee, I have to agree with you and also add...'somebody's doing some heave trippin' round here.' Cedric is an 'Entertainer,' a 'Comedian.' I honestly don't think these were his words personally, but then again..I don't know. But whatever, this was a 'Hollywood' movie. 'Intimate circle of Friends'..we all know people talk. At a beauty shop, a barber shop. The only difference with this was 'the shop was open to the world.' Ms. Parks does have her right not to attend, and state the reason why..the woman's 90 years old and deserves to do, say and think any way she wants. I'm not saying the comments were right, but for god's sake, this was an entertainment movie. Is Cedric going to be 'punished' forever because he 'went to work?' Or, is it a matter of letting people in 'our house' to hear 'our conversations?' As a matter of fact..How come Richard Pryor never got this kind of attention when he goes 'National' and talks about black/white sex relations? Now that's what makes me (kind of) mad, but, I still LOVE HIM!!

Dena.
