VKN, I feel like a homeless person. when you have your 401k and also your retirement it is still is below what your yearly salary was.I am trying to avoid having to work since I have retired ,although it will be several years before I will get Social Security.
I never thought about budgeting or balancing my check book.I now get what I need instead of what I want. But with taxes so high now, your escrow can fall short sometimes.
I now know how foolish I was with all three of my wall to wall closets full of clothes. I am thinking, what was that all about? I don't get out much now as I used to.
The city wants to hike city taxes every year.
But I am blessed that I will not have to survive on Social Security alone. But medicine costs and co-pays have gone up this year.
I retired early and am bored because I have nothing to do , but all of my former co-workers say they are tired of working and they are only 40.
