Dear Jack,
Angry? no.
passionate, determined, and single minded in my mission to be of service to my people! This I MUST do. I must lead my sons, and grandsons by example. Yes, I am blessed to know who I am, and from where I come, and you said it best by "THEY DO NOT KNOW".
By THEM not knowing, the sins of the past arae repeated upon my people generation after generation. The stigma placed upon the people
effects them on a daily basis, in very real ways. Replace the ignorance with knowledge, and it may eventually become easier for the people. Education Education Education.
How do we as a people benefit from technology (such as this medium)
if it only serves to perpetuate the myths on a wider scale? Don't we all have a responsability to change our world for the better one person at a time? (or at least the capability).
Although based on all that I have seen, and know, in my fifty years,
anger would be justified, however it is not in my heart or nature.
Words, written or spoken, CAN be a catalyst for incredible change. I would only hope that mine are seen in the way with which I have intended. This brings to mind something a wise man once said:
"Each man is good in the eyes of the Great Spirit. It
is not necessary for eagles to be crows."
In peace,
Autumn Wind
