I am a descendant of Solomon Faulk Chestnut. I am not sure where he was born, but he is connected to the areas of Horry, SC and Columbus County, NC. From DNA matches I have connected him to the Faulk-Hinnant family line. I have a slave sale receipt showing that he was owned by Priscilla Gore, whose husband was Johnathan Gore; the record shows that he was the son Joshua Gore. It sounds as if you are talking about the same family as the one I have. Any information you can share is greatly appreciated.
