data: Alabama State Clarke CountyI, James Presnall, Senior of the aforesaid State and County make this my last will an Testament revoking all others heretofore made by me.First, I appoint my son, Elijah Presnall, and my grandson, James Presnall, as my executors hoping that they will have on my decease my bequests as here after specified fully performed.Second. I give t my Negro woman Dolly at my decease her freedom as there is no right vested in any other person, for her honest concern in the faithful performance of her services to and for me and I want my executors to have this recorded in Orphans court that it shall show the full extent of my wish, I wish her to have two spinning wheels, one cotton the other flax and a loom as it is with all the harness belonging thereunto. This my bequest I give free of my heirs.Third. I give to my son, Elijah Presnall, all my real estate consisting of five hundred and eighty acres of land with the house I now dwell in at my decease and further I give him five Negro servants (viz) Cloe, Silla, Charity, and Sammy and Abram with all my stock of horses an cattle with their increase at my decease and what money I may be possessed of at my decease I give to my son, Elijah, and his heirs forever.No further mention of slaves in will.Will was written on June 28, 1834 and probated on September 4, 1836.
