Your grandmother was the only child of Sarah Adaline Pettiford. I have a baby picture of your grandmother. Aunt Addie( as she was called) was the oldest daughter of Martha Weaver and Joseph Pettiford and the one of 19 children. My grandmother was the sister to Aunt Addie. Your great grandmother,the mother of Katura died in a home fire in on January 14, 1936. She was lighting a furnance when it caught her clothes on fire she died from severe burns over her body.

I remember my mother talking about her cousin Joe Wells who was a foot doctor. Contact and I can share more information about your family. We still have the reunion on the 3rd Sunday in August in Marion, Indiana. I hope you can come.
