Good to know this was helpful. I also learned something from this one, and from being involved the arrangements for the burial of a relative. She was 98 years young (RIP).
There were TWO obituaries, in this case.
The first was by the funeral home and published in the local papers. This was a part of the funeral 'package', and the next of kin provided the information.
The other was the non-published Church Obituary (program). Information was provided from my research. I made sure to include the mother's maiden name.
I would have provided a pedigree chart with the names of the grandmother and g-gm as well, if allowed!
