Like Art, I also appreciate the reminder. I honestly thought the forum was a helpful tool to find information about African American ancestors, by using newspapers, particular African American newspapers. I have learned a lot about the various newspapers from the past here and the ways to utilize them in advancing genealogy searches. Some of our ancestors are mentioned in non-black papers and the same tools are viable in finding them in those posts. I will, however, keep in mind that the forum is dedicated to African American newspapers and I hope in the past, that I have advanced that goal, particularly with the Indiana newspapers (I wasn't involved in the Brooklyn Eagle postings).
