Newspapers are full of so many nice surprises; you never can tell what unique feature you may stumble across.

In the December 19, 1942 issue of the Afro-American I was thrilled to find obituary entries from a number of locales well outside of the place of publication. With the paper being digitized it gives researchers plenty of incentive to invest a bit of time looking for a "chance" meeting with their ancestors in the pages of this venerable newspaper.
