The issue is not if these men were heroes because most accounts show that they were very very good soldiers! It is seperateing fact from fiction and looking at the history from there eye's based on the period under review and how they felt about themselves and there place in this land of freedom. And you are so right about the other services like the navy which is another story full of misinformation!
