Re: WANTED - African American WWII Reenactors

Hi ,

I'm also assisting George Hardy with this project. My name is Richard Ford many of you have seen my other posts.I have been a collector of Black Military History since 1979.I have also done Living History interepretations and Represented Black Outfits for WW1 and WW2 reenactments since 1989.Back in the nineties, it was tuff to get Blacks involved in Living History and reenacting.George can tell you also.

We both have been sharing info and encourage many of you to help support this effort.Unfortunately for the 50th Anniversary of Battle of the Bulge,Ended up being the only Blck repesenting 761st at Indian town gap in 1995.Same for 50th of D-Day at Virginia Beach when was the sole person doing 320thBarrage balloon Bn.There are many impressions that we both do including 92nd Div.We want serious individuals who love accuracy, and pride in this great history.I have a 1 1/2 ton Chevy Cargo truck from WW2 that will also be used in Mr.Hardy's project. We all need to support each other. The more quality individuals we can get ,the better. Also ,Looking for more Blacks to represent the 372nd Inf. for WW1 please email for details. We recreated the 372nd for WW1 activities back in 1989 and continuing to grow.George has been great with all efforts. Please help.
