Another example of the efforts by you and Bennie, among others, to assist in the rememberance of the AA presence during WW II is found in the story at the URL below. Mr. Charles Benning is featured in the article.

On a very short notice Bennie and Jonas Bender, a former Montford Marine and current resident of Yellow Springs, OH searched for and FOUND six (6) members (African-Americans) of our community who served during the D-Day invasion (6 Jun 1944). This weekend will be the 60th Anniversary of that historic event and three of those gentleman will be in France for the observance.

Our most sincere thanks to Jonas and Bennie for their assistance in conncecting these men with Mr. Samuel Wooten who is putting together a documentary on the AA involvement in France during WWII. (3 Jun 2004)

Thanks K, Bennie, Jonas and all involved in not letting the heroic efforts of these men be forgotten.
