Grandmother was Minnie Chaveres..I was told she was Indian or Jewish..or French..people would say..because she was spanish looking..black hair..she married my grandfather a english man..we never knew where the name came from but all her peoples tomb stones..are found in Indian cementaires including her brothers..so I think they may have been Indians..the Chavers??? she was from Alabama..
