Thanks for your wonderful response...and this is sort of what I was getting at in the post I made above (my end of conversation)...It's the programming people in this country have gotten by and large from white skinned people who believed they were superior in all ways from the time they set foot on our Aboriginal shores...The FPOC were a mix of the Aboriginals here, the Aboriginals of Africa, some who were brought here against their will as well as some who came freely..and whites, tho the Africans did not come with intention of taking over this I am digressing...anyway, no, just because a Black person discovers they also have white blood or Indian blood doesn't mean they are supposed to consider themselves european or Indian...however,it hasn't been even a CHOICE for Black people in general who have Indian blood to consider themselves Aboriginals of the ground under their feet...because white skinned people have made them feel that this land itself doesn't belong to people with Black skin...We have all heard that nasty phrase about Black people going back to Africa...well, for those who are also of Indian blood, this is ALSO their ancestral home as well as Africa...And I have digressed again...The programming about "white being right" was also run on FPOC, and this is why those FPOC who could pass for white did, which takes me back to the original thing about there being many "white" people in this country today who have African and Indian blood...for a white person who previously thought they were racially pure white to discover Black and Red roots CAN have the effect of whittling down the white attituded racism against People of Color, because they ARE People of Color...I sure hope this all made sense....
