I went to a few Pow-wows in the mid-nineties, but I've stopped attending because they felt commercial and a little sad. At any rate, Durham is a bit of a haul for me and I was just down in that area in September.

Over the past two decades I've learned more about my ancestry than I would have ever guessed possible. Many mysteries remain and this particular Native American connection is one of them. Even with strong DNA evidence, oral history, and telltale surnames, I don't quite feel that I've broken through.
