I have recently obtained information about my maternal g.grandparents. The whole family is listed as mulattoes. I have had so much difficulty finding out anything about them, and finally from the Latter Day church i found their records. So what does that mean? I always suspected that my ggndmother was white. She lived with my mother's parents when she was small, but she never questioned it so couldn't give me an answer.
Then I located my father's parents. Father listed as Black, mother listed as mulatto. When I was a child she told us she was half Indian. This is all very interesting trying to figure out my background. Thanks for your insight.
