I recently read an article online and all of my mutations are exactly like the L3b2 mutations that were listed. However, I'm definitely going to do further testing to be sure. After that, I'll follow up with AncestrybyDNA and then AAncestry. Does anyone here know how long FTDNA takes for the HVR2 portion of the test when they already have all of your markers?
First I would write FTDNA and make sure that your HVR2 test will result in more specificity of your L3b haplogroup. It took about a month for my results. However, I'm still listed as just L3 on my page. From my own readings, online discussions, and Dr. Wilson's analysis (from the African Roots DNA Project as forwarded by Lincoln, L3 Page Administrator), I am an L3e3. About a month ago FTDNA had entered into a relationship with the African Roots DNA Project and was going to update some of the haplogroup designations. Has anyone had a change in theirs?
