I'm going to do further HVR2 testing with FTDNA to ascertain exactly what L3b Haplogroup I belong to. I recently read an article online and all of my mutations are exactly like the L3b2 mutations that were listed. However, I'm definitely going to do further testing to be sure. After that, I'll follow up with AncestrybyDNA and then AAncestry. Does anyone here know how long FTDNA takes for the HVR2 portion of the test when they already have all of your markers? L3 is indeed a mystery! It's also interesting that on the African DNA Project site they have Senegal/Gambia listed and DNA Tribes shows high scores for both Guinea-Bissau (nextdoor neighbor of Senegal) and Mozambique (interesting if there is indeed an East African connection). It's both interesting and difficult piecing together 50,000 years worth of genetic mutations! Let's keep sharing and learning!
