Re: DNA Tribes New Populations
In Response To: Re: DNA Tribes New Populations ()
Hi Tonya, I'm definitely curious how missing populations may affect this test. If they have much more data penetration in the Europe region (per square mile or per capita), I can see why many deep variations would appear from that region. After contacting them last month with a handful of questions on the mostly European results, they did provide a top 25 for native and global. Still the results were European with 1 Berber and 1 India. The reshuffling they have done based on a new algorthm is almost enough for me to update the tests, but I'll try to hold on until there is more western and northeastern African tribes. I don't yet want to spend time down a trail if new African tribe additions will make it moot. I'm curious to see how this ties to L3f. (Also waitint to see how the results compare to Debra's Mom's omnipop since we have identical HRV1 mtdna.) I don't have my full list here, but I recall my DNATribe top ten as: Albanian, Rio Grande du Sol Brazil, Csango (Romania), Greek, Bosnian, Macedonian, Turkish, Greek Cypriot, Tatar (Poland) and Israeli.
