Darrin, I know this is a long shot, but do you know of anyone who possibly went to the burial after the funeral. Sometimes people remember the area of burial and at least that would narrow it down some. I know it's been 25 years, but a lot of times the funeral home did put funeral markers down until a headstone arrived. I know that the funeral home sometimes kept logs. It didn't contain all info though. I know your feeling on bad record keeping. My uncle paid for four lots back in the 70s when my great grandmother died.. When my Mom died in 2016, no one could find the deeds to the lots. The funeral home had a change of hands and the early records were just not there. They even let us help look through the records. The man physically went out to where my great grandmother was buried and searched around with that metal thing to see if there were other burials beside her. There were not. So, we just purchased the lot right beside her for Mom. I wish you the best in your continued search. Regina Messages In This Thread |
