The CEFSG in conjunction with the CWGC is attempting to locate the burial site of Private Stephen Bratton Morris who served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in the Great War (WWI) of 1914-1918. He died in Kitchener Ontario Canada and his remains were sent back to his mother (Mary) in Rochester, New York. The records say the Scottsville Cemetery, 2 miles from Rochester but we say that community is 12 miles from Rochester. To narrow down the search, we are seeking the assistance of experts who will know if in 1920 there were specific cemeteries where an African American would be buried. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.
