My grandfather was William Robinson, and he was either Jamaican or Trinidadian. My father always said he was from Jamaica, but my father's Cuban birth certificate said his father was from Trinidad. My father, Alberto Robinson Gil was born in 1935, so I imagine my grandfather came to Cuba in the 1910s or 1920s (he came as a teenager). And I know my grandfather had a large family all of whom lived in Cuba, in Pinar del Rio. My grandfather also had three other children in Guanima, one of whom moved from Cuba to the US in the 1950s. I would love to connect with anyone who might be my relative.
