the Black Scot thing? it seems a lot mixed with Scottish/ulster
and settled in predominately scottish communities across the caribbean usa because I have that in my genealogy searches too (including a Poet from
Scotland & others from Edinburgh, Smailholm & Sandyknowe)

SC had a large Scottish component/ as with Bermuda ( I have that too)

I also have some Welsh (if I didn't love music
so much I would have been thrown off by the "ap" (son of) prefix to some of my surnames!) but then again researching many Puerto Rican surnames are kind of the same way t.b.
