Re: [Misc] West Indies (esp. Trottier, Robinson) P
Hello
Thanks for the information & email, if You'd like copies of what I have.
Yes, they really did get around & I do have Beaubiens on that side.
Do You also have the the surnames Landry, Prejean, Trahan or Theriot (arcadia/canada /Louisiana).
The Santo Domingo thing, I have some Haitian (black & white & mixed )
& hundreds of ancestors from Puerto Rico that I think, originally came from Haiti and some point so? I've been reading up on that in historical context of rebellions and economic migrations.
I have some ancestors from Togo Africa.
Do You have a Miqmac extensions in your genealogy &
Are You also matching the surnames Le Comte, de Bourbon, Chevalier, de Conde, Coindet, Davide & St. Denis, Caeymaex, Destrehan De Beaupre (I wonder if that the origins of the Trahans) who married a du Savoy (that could have changed to Savoie later) as 4th cousins
Because I'm probably dealing with the Americanization of the French /Belgian surnames in my family's case as they travel from the caribbean to the mid-atlantic to canada & the south.
- also the surname Laroche in mixed in there somewhere.I have quite a few matches to the Laroche/ Sigur/Seghnor Family (another Trader Family..)
Thanks again, t.b.
