My husband's paternal ancestors were of the 800 African Americans enslaved in Forsyth Co. Ga. in 1860. They were of the 1000 plus African Americans in Forsyth Co. in 1912. They were enumerated in the 1870,1880,1900,and 1910 census in Forsyth Co. Ga., but by the 1920 census, they all were found in either the neighboring counties of Hall and Fulton or Dekalb and Cobb. As for property, some were able to sell and then there were those who did not have time, and therefore, abandoned everything they had. Janice D. Laster
